The Crisis Community Network (TCCN) was the concept of Founder and President Mark Basnight. TCCN was created with the idea of establishing an organic network of experienced and talented communicators from the fire service, law enforcement, utilities, public health, disaster and crisis aid, and emergency management professions to offer exceptional training experiences. The TCCN was also developed to foster collaboration between agencies that respond to crises by means of social networking tools, “Collaboration is paramount to successful mitigation.”
The ‘Social Media 4 Responders’ training conference was designed with the responder in mind. The concept is to provide high-level hands-on training pertaining to social media tools and practices responders can use today! The goal is to assist them to accomplish the mission of effectively communicating with their audience. The SM4Responders Training Conference is the first of several hands-on-training venues being made available by The Crisis Communications Network. ‘The Crisis Communication Network’ was founded with a commitment “To EQUIP and EMPOWER today’s PIO’s for tomorrow’s crisis.”
